A Guide to Your Goals

Welcome to Without Borders Counseling. This practice is dedicated to providing the highest level of care to individuals, couples and families struggling with a variety of issues.
I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2005 and was honorably discharged in 2013. It was during this time in active service that I found my passion for helping people learn, heal and grow with life’s challenges.
I am currently a reservist in the United States Marine Corps, but have devoted my civilian career to helping build stronger, healthier communities. To do that, I focus my attention carefully on the client/counselor relationship to assist people in living a more gratifying and fulfilling life. I want people to be able to live a life without feeling trapped by their emotions and as the name implies, assist people on their journey to living a life without these borders.
The essence of my work is to facilitate self-growth by helping you identify the core challenges and setbacks in your life, so that you can overcome them with confidence. I specialize in creating personalized plans and providing tools to guide you forward and achieve your desired goals.
I am a Limited License Professional Counselor with the state of Michigan. I received my BS in Psychology and my MA in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. My training included psychotherapy, Christian theology, and development across the lifespan.
I provide counseling for children, adolescents, and adults. My practice aims to assist clients in growing and maturing with life’s challenges. Goals of treatment are designed to meet the needs of the client and help define the direction of therapy.
Treatment typically ranges from four to eighteen months, but sometimes shorter or longer periods of time are indicated. Sessions are usually scheduled weekly, but may be scheduled more or less frequently depending on the needs of the client. Treatment ends at a mutually agreed upon time.
